rip mj - August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009

the King (of pop) is dead, long live the King. i grew up on mj, thriller was the first vinyl
I ever owned, my dad brought me the making of the thriller video when i sick in bed,
and that just tied into completely into my love of horror films and michaels music.
My mate even made up a dance routine to Thriller that we practiced.
I recently read in Johnny Cash's autobiography, that every one has their own Elvis,
the other King (of rock 'n' roll), for Cash it was the Elvis of the 50's, well for me it
has to be the Michael Jackson of the 70's.
When I heard Off the Wall, I liked it, not as much as Thriller at the time but as I grew older I grew to like it more than any of his contempoary stuff, and he still seemed outwardly untroubled and natural. So that's the mj i'll choose to remember and be sad at the loss of.
